Design process

Initial engagement

This involves preliminary discussions about your vision, design ideas, budget and timeline, and how CMID could assist throughout the design process. Following a site visit, a detailed fee proposal is generated outlining the scope of work, associated costs, and timeline.

CMID’s design process is flexible and can be adapted to suit the particular needs of your project.

Design concept

On proposal acceptance, we work with you to explore design possibilities and confirm your design preferences towards developing detailed conceptual drawings and schemes to set up the project.

Design development

Once we have settled on the preferred design concept and a plan that aligns with your vision and budget, we can get started refining it, confirming final design decisions and lining up trusted contractors.

Monitoring and coordinating the fit-out

With a design concept and contractors now engaged, we will help ensure our shared vision is translated into results by monitoring and coordinating work on site.

Procurement

We collaborate with quality suppliers and retailers to source and procure products and samples on your behalf to support the project’s design.

Finishing touches

To complete the project, we will work with you to realise final furniture, fixture and accessory plans, and help install those products to your site.  This includes styling your home or office as a final touch.

CMID can also work with you to edit, declutter and organise your space to improve its efficiency and functionality.
