Charlotte Minty Interior Design - Charlotte Minty

CHARLOTTE MINTY

FOUNDER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Charlotte started her career working for noted Wellington architecture firms, Studio Pacific Architecture and Athfields Architects.

A graduate of Victoria University’s Schools of Architecture and Design, she has lectured in interior architecture and design at her alma mater.

During a stint in the United Kingdom, she worked for Sasha Waddell Design and interior magazine stylist, Atlanta Bartlett.

Prior to setting up CMID in 2003, Charlotte led visual merchandising projects with Ashley Fogel, and retail stores Country Road and Redcurrent. 

Charlotte is a recent recipient of the Resene Colour Award for her interior design of a waterfront office space in Wellington’s Herd Street.  Her project work and her commentary on interior architecture and design have appeared in the printed media. 

Charlotte was raised on a keen diet of architecture and design. Her father is prominent Wellington-based architect, Alan Minty.  Charlotte’s sister Amelia Minty (who has collaborated with Charlotte on projects) is also an architect, while brother Dorian is the Creative Designer Lead at Studio Pacific.

CRAIG GREAVES

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Craig became managing director of CMID in 2020, fours years after becoming Charlotte's husband. He previously worked in international relations and the financial markets in New Zealand and abroad.

Craig writes on the side. He has written on architecture and interior design for New Zealand magazines, and currently writes about politics and foreign affairs for overseas publications.

Craig holds a Masters in Strategic Studies from Victoria University of Wellington. He has also studied at Harvard University, and other U.S. schools and institutes.

 
 

SARAH GUBB

INTERIOR DESIGNER

Sarah joined CMID in 2023, and she supports Charlotte on all interior architecture and design projects. 

Prior to joining the practice, Sarah worked with her husband Matt as the in-house interior designer and custom joinery designer at Wellington-based Stylish Interiors.

Sarah has also worked as an interior architect and designer for two New Zealand architectural firms, Pelorus Architecture and Archaus Ltd. In London, she was an interior designer with Regus International.

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Design with Honours from Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Architecture and Design, where she majored in Interior Architecture.
