Wellington Boutique Law Firm

CMID was asked to elevate the entrance space and meeting rooms of this inner-city boutique law firm with new materials, finishings, and furniture.

The design goal was to create a tranquil and sophisticated workplace space; one that is not overtly corporate in look and feel.

To this end, we added timber tables for warmth while panelling was used to enhance detailing and refinement.

Soft chairs provide a lightness of touch and greater comfort. The grey-green colour of the panelling and chairs coordinates with an existing palette used by the firm. This allows a sense of continuity and connection.

To offset the lack of natural light, the upper half of the walls are white to brighten the rooms. This also creates the backdrop to stage artwork.

The outcome is an elegant, warm, and comfortable place of work that projects professionalism with a relaxed polish.
