kARORI KITCHEN #3

This new contemporary kitchen design is at the heart of a stately, character home in the hills above Karori in Wellington.  

The project involved a new kitchen layout with a large central island.

The space planning was plotted to relocate various stations to improve functionality and accommodate the new island, adorned with a Corian benchtop - a material already favoured by the clients who wanted to use it in the kitchen renovations. 

Alignment was the key operating principle with the new marble and slate-look tiled flooring matching other aspects of slate throughout the house.  The rangehood’s warm oak timber cover also aligns with the home’s cedar windows, while the kitchen colour scheme replicates other parts of the house.
